FAQ
AIRSOFT IN GENERAL
WHAT IS AIRSOFT?
-Airsoft is a sport much like paintball that emphasizes tactics and teamwork.

-More information about airsoft can be found here

WHAT IS NECESSARY TO PLAY AIRSOFT?
-An airsoft gun, plasitc bbs, any items necessary for the operation of the airsoft gun (like batteries and magazines), safety gear (usually just shatter-proof goggles or a facemask), and other people with a similar interest.

DOES AIRSOFT HURT?
-At close range, most projectiles will hurt (especially on bare skin). However, it hurts significantly less than paintball and leaves fewer and smaller marks.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIRSOFT AND PAINTBALL?
-While paintball uses ammo that splatters paint upon impact, the ammo used in airsoft does not leave visible marks. Also, airsoft is a much more tactical sport that puts teamwork before being a hero.

IS AIRSOFT BETTER THAN PAINTBALL?
-While this question is obviously relative to the person answering, there is a number of reasons to play airsoft instead of paintball. For starters, airsoft hurts less and costs less overall. Also, airsoft builds more unity between the members playing since airsoft requires more teamwork than paintball. However, some people prefer paintball since it is less structured and more chaotic. Also, paintball can be more preferable since the paint provides a visual confirmation of a kill while airsoft requires the shot to admit his or her loss. Contrarily, this added ability to cheat allows airsofters to make their groups more tightknit and trustworthy since cheating is rarely allowed and any individual that is found cheating is usually kicked out of the group.
